Rekordbox DJ is a fast, low latency and dependable DJ software providing consistent performance despite your laptop specification. It uses a familiar Graphical User Interface (GUI) with the ability to have it split into two screens and the players, waveform, FX, sampler and browser seamlessly mirror the hardware. The DJ also has the option to select either a 2/4-deck view and have it displayed either vertically or horizontally. The software includes the well-known and used tools such as Hot Cues, Sampler, Beat FX, Beat Jump, Sound Colour FX, and Pad FX where numerous FX chains can be created using all of the performance pads. The XDJ-RX digital controller incorporates a recognisable layout including a 7-inch LCD full-colour screen, two USB ports, a 2-channel mixer and robust performance pads. The two USB ports include Record which enables two DJs to record their sets when each are playing simultaneously, along with the display detailing track information for each separate user. A number of the features have been taken from the renowned NXS2 set-up including Beat FX, Sound Colour FX, Beat Sync, Quantize, Slip Mode, Waveforms (zoom), overall quality of the build and the quick browsing attribute. The pads can be used for triggering Auto Beat Loops, Loops Slice and Hot Cues, and as there are a number of inputs, the DJ System can be used as a standalone mixer if desired.
